With this tour we we'll make pleasant stops in the most famous towns of the Valle d'Itria: Locorotondo, Alberobello and Martina Franca.
Locorotondo, Its historic center develops in a perfect circular shape, hence the name of the village, from the Latin Locus Rotundus, or "Round Place". The main color is white, which makes everything even more ethereal and fascinating: most of the buildings are white, as are the many churches scattered throughout the city. The white of the facades contrast with the thousand colors of the flowers displayed on the many balconies in the center!
Alberobello UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996, famous for its curious dry-stone houses called trulli. Together with your guide you will discover the original history behind these original dwellings, including curiosities from the past, folklore and architecture.
After the visit you will stop in pretty trattoria with a farm-to table concept, “Trattoria Terra Madre” where you could taste some typical dishes of the region.
The tour will end in Martina Franca, where you will visit the basilica dedicated to San Martino, the Saint patron of the town, the Immaculate Conception Square, a grand square framed by semi-circular buildings in the same elaborate style as Martina Franca’s churches and the characteristic noble palaces embellished in the Rococo style.
